Submission: Authors are requested to submit their papers electronically to submit@ripublication.com with mention journal title (IJLA) in subject line. Publication Time: Author will receive print journal copy WITHIN 15 days after payment of publication charges and submission of copyright form.
Publication Cost: Authors of accepted papers are requested to arrange page charges of their papers at the rate of US$25 per page (Rs.500 per page for Indian Authors), which will be invoiced, through the author, to the author's company, institute, or agency. Twenty Five reprints of a paper are provided to the authors ex-gratis. Additional sets of reprints may be ordered at the time of proof correction. Page charges are mandatory and omitted ONLY when it will be highly recommended by Editors-in-chief to us for publication. Style:Manuscripts not exceeding 25 printed pages should be attached and sent to the Editor-in-Chief via e-mail. Use separate attached files for text, tables and figures. The manuscript should be prepared in MS-WORD or PDF FORMAT ONLY, double-spaced, single-sided, 12-point font, Times New Roman 1-inch margins all around as a single column and justified throughout. An un-numbered cover page should include the title of the paper and author's names, postal addresses, faxes and emails. The corresponding author should be identified with an asterisk. The title of the paper should be 14-point font, bold, range left. Only the first letter of the first word should be in a capital, unless proper nouns are used and the rest of title must be all in lower case letters. Leave a line space and start the author's names(s), without degrees or qualifications, in 12-point font, range left. Follow this on a new line with the author's addresses, faxes, and e-mails also in 12-point font, range left. The following pages of the text should be numbered consecutively. Number the lines on each page to enable the reviewers to refer to items in the text easily (this can be done automatically by most word processors). Although electronic manuscript submission is preferable, submission via mail to the Editor-in-Chief (three hard copies and the version on diskette) is also acceptable. Manuscripts submitted to IJLA should contain: concise and definitive title of article, authors' names, authors' institutional affiliations, abstract (300-500 words suitable for abstracting services), up to 8 key words on a new line following the abstract, main text including introduction, study area, material and methods, results, discussion, conclusion, references, acknowledgments, tables (each starting with a caption and on a separate page) and figure captions on a separate page, list of references, list of symbols and abbreviations (if necessary). Nutrient concentrations should be reported as molar; μM nitrite and not as μg nitrite l-1 . Use the unit "μg l-1 and not μg / l". Paragraphs should be indented 5 character spaces, with no line space between paragraphs. Authors whose native language is not English are strongly advised to have their manuscripts checked by English speaking colleagues prior to submission. Authors may use either English or American spelling, but only one form of spelling is to be used in any one paper. Author Names and Affiliations:It is IJLA policy that all those who have participated significantly in the technical aspects of a paper be recognized as co-authors or cited in the acknowledgments. Author name should consist of first name, middle initial and last name. The author affiliation should consist of the following, as applicable, in the order noted: University, institute, agency or company, with the relevant department and division, postal address; city, state, zip code, country, fax, and e-mail. Abstract:A short abstract (300-500 words maximum) should open the paper. It should not attempt to condense the whole subject matter into a few words for quick reading. Its purposes are: 1) To give a clear indication of the objective, scope and results of the paper so that readers may determine whether the full text will be of particular interest to them; 2) To provide key words and phrases for indexing, abstracting, and retrieval purposes. Abbreviations:Where long words are repeated throughout the text, shortened versions or initials can be included in parentheses after the long words first appear and then only the shortened versions are to be used. Tables:Number tables consecutively with Arabic numeral. They should be self-explanatory and give each a clear descriptive title at the top. Type them on separate pages but indicate in the margin of the manuscript where they should be placed. Tables should be of such a size that they will easily fit onto a journal page. Footnotes to tables indicated by lower case letters are acceptable. Figures:All illustrations (line drawings and photographs) should be referred as "Fig. 1" throughout the text and figure captions. All figures should be numbered with consecutive Arabic numbers and have descriptive captions on a separate page. They must be mentioned in the text and submitted separate. Their approximate position should be indicated in the margin of the manuscript. Color illustrations are accepted, but will incur a charge of US$ 50 per figure or composite figure. Photographs:Photographs must be submitted for printing in the desired final size to avoid any reduction. Photographs, including their legends, must not exceed 22 X 16 cm. They should be of sufficiently high quality. Do not indicate the magnification in the legend, but by a rule on the photograph. References:Authors are completely responsible for the accuracy of the References. Beside published articles, those in press may be included after stating the journals accepting them. References are to be cited in the text by author’s last names and year of publication. If three or more authors have written a publication, use the first author’s last name followed by “et.al.” in the text. References should be cited in the text as follows: Author (1999) has pointed out………. According to Author and Author (1997), ………………,……As reported previously……………. (Author, 2000; Author and Author, 2001; Author et.al., 2003). References are to be listed in the reference section at the end of the manuscript in alphabetical order by first author’s surname followed by initials, year of publication, paper title, journal title, volume number and page numbers. The names of the journals should be abbreviated according to the World List of Scientific Periodicals. References of books should include the editors, as well as names and addresses of the publishers. References should be listed in the reference section in the following form:
Review of Manuscripts:Submitted manuscript will be reviewed by anonymous referees and those not meeting the journal’s requirements and standards will be rejected. The final decision on publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief upon recommendation of an Associate Editor and / or an Editorial Board Member. If the manuscript is accepted for publication in IJLR, it must not be published in any periodical elsewhere without the permission of the Editor-in-Chief. The deadline given by the Editor-in-Chief should be strictly followed for the return of revised manuscripts Special Issues:From time to time, Guest Editors are invited to produce Special Issues consisting of some articles grouped around a common theme. Proposals for Special Issues are welcome, as are Guest Editorials and Announcements. Copyright: Each manuscript must be accompanied by a statement that it has been neither published nor submitted for publication, in whole or in part, either in a serial, professional journal or as a part in a book which is formally published and made available to the public. For the mutual benefit and protection of authors and publishers it is necessary that authors provide formal written consent to publish and transfer of Copyright Form before publication of the work. Refund Policy: Publication charges are non refundable and non adjustable. Proofs:Proofs will be sent to the corresponding author and should be returned with one week of receipt. Corrections should be restricted to typesetting errors; any other corrections may be charged to the authors. Authors are advised to check their proofs very carefully before return, since the inclusion of late corrections cannot be acceptable. Corrected proofs are to be returned to the publishers. Frequency of Publication: Two issues in a year.
